This group is offered to emerging clinicians working towards their Clinical Licensure in Pennsylvania (I am also licensed as an LCSW in New York and New Jersey for those hoping for licensure in those states). In this group we will present and discuss case conceptualizations and receive constructive and supportive feedback and suggestions for how to evolve as a clinician. You will learn how to apply various theoretical frameworks to your practice, and develop new (and/or hone your current) processes for providing culturally competent, empowering, validating, and evidence-based therapy to your clients. We will discuss transference and countertransference and how these phenomena affect your work. Depending upon group conscience we may also prepare for the LCSW Exam by reviewing practice questions and discussing diagnostic criteria/presentation for DSM-V and ICD-10 diagnoses.
